I work in the medical field and yes, you can still get preg. I had a pt. who had her's tied for 6 years and ended up pregnant. Be careful, that d*** sperm can get to those tubes even after they're tied.

It depends on the way the tubes were tied. Usually they are actually cut and that is about 99.9% effective. However, THERE IS ALWAYS THE POSSIBILITY OF AN UNSUCCESSFUL SURGERY. No birth control is 100% effective. Even surgery. That being said, it is also possible that your cycle has slowed due to stress/health. Take a long hot bath and think relaxing thoughts. Drink some tea and stay off of soy products. If you don't get a "visit" in the next week, call the doc.

4 of my friends have had it done and there's no more babies so far! I've never heard of tubes coming undone etc, I think they cut them also but don't quote me on that! There's not the same risk of pregnancy with sterilisation that there is with a man having a vasectomy. It can take 5 months or so for a man to be completely sterile. Are you thinking of having it done? Good luck xxx

Yes you can. You chances of getting pregnant are less, but a tubal ligation can reverse itself. They are only 98% effective after the first year. The tubes can actually fuse back together! I am a nurse and have seen several patients that have become pregnant by accident.
Go ahead and do a home pregnancy test after your first missed period. (You can do one now, but it might not be accurate)

Yes my sister's friend (jan) got pregnant. Her youngest daughter was 14 and she didn't want anymore. Her husband was furious because he thought she cheated on him. She was pregnant and her tubes were tied. Now she is 42 years old and raising a little one. God works in mysterious ways. Good luck..I would take a test just in case.
