Yes, if you use a router/modem. I am currently using a Bt wireless router/modem, which has a RJ45 (phone socket connector) on the back. My bband connection goes directly to the back of the router/modem and then wirelessly allows my other 3 pc's and laptop access to the internet. When using wireless though, you will need to protect your connection from people outside your house or even neighbours would be able to use your connection, if they too have wireless objects (psp etc).
It easy enough to set up though.

It depends on the type. Some wireless routers are actually routers/modems, which means they combine the router and the modem in one box - you can plug these directly into the phone line. Others are just the router, so you'll need the modem to plug into the phone line and then plug the router into the modem. If you're looking to buy, it's easier to get a combined one.

No, first you have to plug it in to the modem (usually supplied by the ISP) and then run an ethernet line from the modem to the router, then you can turn on the router and plud into it!
install the router if you need to. usually there is a disk included. Note: if the installer tells you to cut the power to your modem UNPLUG it do not just turn it off or else it might remember the old settings.

yes you need to connect the broadband router to a wireless modem & it'll act like a wireless access point AKA hotspot. The router will help you in building a wi-fi home network or LAN ( local area network ).
