Edwin Hubble was an astronomer.
He was one of the first to show that some "nebulae" were actually separate galaxies outside of our own.

He observed that light from distant galaxies was redshifted - indicating that they were travelling away from us at very high speeds. This was a key discovery leading to theories of an expanding universe and the theory of the big bang.

His work is the foundation for modern physical cosmology.

Well, there was this one little thing, called the Hubble Space Telescope.

It has been taking pictures of the distant parts of the universe for over 15 years now.

You might do an internet search on Hubble Telescope to see the HUGE impact that this has had on our knowledge...it will be really easy to find!
