I think its funny that people on here's first response is for you to give your husband oral...

It would work, of course, or you've got really serious problems.

However, if you think about it... once you start giving him oral every time he starts to play, he'll start doing it just to get oral. hahaha

Have you tried actually telling him that the amount of WOW is a bit overwhelming?

As a former Everquest addict and sometime player of WOW. I can tell you if he is addicted there is nothing you can do. You just have to hope that he wakes up like I did. Unfortunately that may be years.

When you play WOW time blurs and 8 hours go by in a heartbeat. The times spent online with other players can be intense and when you are off the computer everything else seems dulled down. When I was at work I would think of playing and what equipment I was going to look to buy. I would race to the PC the moment I got home and log on.

As with drugs the WOW addict does not see himself with a problem.

Good Luck

My husband is a bit of an online junkie himself. We try to make it a rule that if we are all home together the computer is off limits. It goes over pretty well for us because he is a stay at home dad so he gets plenty of time to himself to play on the computer during the day until he has to pick our daughter up from school. I don't know your situation so maybe you should ask him if he would be willing to work out a schedule where he spends x amount of time with you and y amount of time playing Warcraft. You should also make it clear that you want x to be greater than y.

I prefer StarCraft myself. Especially with the mods available.

As for getting him away from the game, he may be using it as an escape from stress at work or the home. He's entered an environment where he has full control on what he does.

Try and see if there are other was he can relax with you. Of course if you are the one stressing him out he may not want to relax with you. How about you join him? Couples should always find some play time with each other.

Is your husband a 10 year old boy? Unless he is, your husband is a giant nerd. I think you should give him a wedgie, steal his lunch money, and stuff him in a locker. Does he also play dungeons and dragons? Tell him to grow up.
