My last period began on Oct 7th. I had unprotected sex with my BF on Oct 12th (the day my period ended) then again on Oct 17th. Is it possible that I could have gotten pregnant? Today is Nov 2nd and I have been experiencing some LIGHT nausea at various times throughout the day today and my breast have been extremely SORE for a few days now.

A little history: I am 34 years old and never been on birth control and never have been pregnant. Just recently have been trying to conceive. My periods have been like clock work for over a year now with 27-29 day cycles. However for the past 3 months my periods have been messed up. I have been late. VERY LATE for the past 3 months, on 38-42 day cycles. I noticed about a week after my period, about the time I had sex on the 17th, that I had ALOT of cervical mucus and as the week progressed, it got thicker. So is it possible that I was ovualting that soon AFTER my period and became pregnant on the 17th? Any thoughts on this is greatly appreciated

Oh yes! It is entirely possible that you are pregnant! You had sex 10 days after the first day of your last period. Sperm can live inside of you for a few days, so even if you weren't ovulating on the 17, you could have concieved a few days later without even having sex! How exciting! So... Now let's figure out when you should test. You are due for your period on November 4th (28 day cycle). You should be able to get an accurate result on Nov. 3rd (tomorrow!!!). Best wishes!
(p.s. a rough estimate of your due date IF you're pregnant is: July 14th 2007)

It is possible that you are pregnant but those symptoms are only presumptive signs. Take a pregnancy test when your period is a week late any sooner and you may get a negative result even if you are pregnant. The cervical mucus if thin, sticky, water is what may indicate ovulation. I'm not sure if that is what you meant as the amount doesn't really matter. Good luck!

If you are or have been regular as you say, there is a high chance you are pregnant (you had sex on day 10 of the cycle and sperm can live upto five days given the right conditions), if you are unsure about this and want to check an ovulation calendar you can go to babyzone.com, they have and ovulation calendar that you adjust to know when you were ovulating depending on the number of days your last cycle lasted.
I suggest you go to the drugstore and buy a test! cause you sound pregnant...lol. Good luck and I hope it works out for the best.

It is very possible to be ovulating 10 days after your period, and I have even heard of sooner. Since you are trying to conceive, I hope you get your wish. :O)

Of course it is possible, always possible when sperm enters through the vagina. I'd wait a little longer and then try taking some tests.

Good luck,
