I took Prozac during mine. I was on Effexor, but they switched it. They said it was one of the safer ones and my mental health was VERY important as well as the babies health. But if I wouldn't "make" it through the pregnancy, than neither would the baby. If you need the medication and they say you can take it, then take it!

i was taking zoloft and my doc said it was safe to take.. but i did some research and the studies show no higher chance of birth defects, but that it does cause the baby to have withdrawl symptoms if taken in the third trimester until birth.. the higher the dose the more withdrawl.. although my doc. said he wanted me to take it because my anxiety is so bad, i decided not to because of the withdrawl after birth.. you have to decide the risk you are willing to take...its a class C drug...

Lady think long & hard about what you put in your mouth during pregnancy. Only what is perscribed by your Dr. & only if absolutely necessary. Many babies have paid a dear price all their lives because of what mom took while pregnant. Be very careful.

yes, even though it is not advised, unless you have seriouse issues that can cause unhealthy stress on the baby, then the risks may far outwiegh not being on it.

Nope, i just dealt with my anxiety like other people have to. Its not really best to be on medication while pregnant. Just deal with it.
