Yes, it's normal. Just keep reminding yourself that it's for the best. The guilt feelings will pass.

Spaying and neutering is the best thing to do for your pet. I see thousands of animals die every year because of lack of spay/neuter. Your kitty will be a little sore, but in the long run he will be healthier and happier. He will be less likely to spray and will be more content with having snuggle time at home with you than howling and yowling at the doors and windows wanting to chase the ladies. Thank you for being a responsible pet owner and participating in spay / neuter.

Yes, it is normal to feel bad. Feel good about the fact that a pair of cats (un-neutered) can have like 135,000 progeny. Every litter is ready to roll in 6 months, they have say 6-8 kits, so do the math! You are doing a good thing. Kittens are great, but if you want another one, just go to any shelter and adopt one. I love kitties. Also, men feel worse about neutering male animals I noticed when I worked at a vet clinic. Your cat won't mark stuff and won't have prostate problems, won't go out "catting around".

It's very possible to be friends after a break up, but don't push up on her to be friends immediately afterwards. All relationships have the possibility to be emotional after a breakup. But it seems to me that you are only upset because she's upset over the fact that you were the one to break it off. I don't since any emotion from you of being distraught that you really cared for her and hated to do what was probably inevitable. Give her time to heal and I'm sure she will want your friendship back in hopes of reviving the relationship....good luck

Yes, and it is normal. Just knowing they're having a procedure done that will make them sore or uncomfortable for a few days, kills me. We just had one of our female dogs spayed, and she was down for a few days. After her stitches were taken out, she was back to her old self!

You are doing the right thing!

Yes of course; you're making a life-altering decision (no pun intended) on behalf of another creature, for the benefit of your own convenience. But it's a practical thing to do.

I guess. Just remember its for the best. If he is indoor/outdoor (which really isnt good for him) then he is less likely to get into a fight. He also will never roam and will pay more attention to you

no, I'm glad because the animal will be healthier in the end. also, it cuts down on the population of feral cats that over flow the system.
