Guess all you can do is to speak with him and let him know that this sort of behaviour and language will not be tolerated nor condonded. So there will be consequences at home also if he chooses to continue this sort of behaviour. This form of disrespect is so commonplace now-a-days and I feel so sorry for people who are in the teaching profession. I remember being a kid and there was corporal punishment both at school and home if this or anything else not deemed proper at school.

If he doesn't act that way at home, but he is doing it at school, maybe something is going on there. Perhaps he is trying to look cool for his friends, or maybe he has a problem with one of his teachers. You should ask him why he is being so disrespectful at school. I don't know how old he is, but you need to let him know that his behavior isn't acceptable. I would say grounding and a loss of car privileges (if applicable) are definitely in order.
