Yup, sounds like you might want to take her to the doctor. I don't think there is anything that says a baby can't get a yeast infection. It can happen if her fecies gets in there and can cause an infection from the bacteria. Also, the diapers could contribute to it also. Might need to switch brands.

Yes it is normal for a baby girl to have that kind of discharge. I have two baby girls and it happened to both of them. It can actually mean a yeast infection if you are putting any kind of powder that has corn starch in it. I use to put some on my daughter and her pediatrician told me not to put it on her because it can cause her a yeast infection at her age. But if you aren't putting none on her you may have nothing to worry about. But as a mother you can never be too sure so don't let it pass you by when you see the doctor.

Does she have what looks like a diaper rash that is almost a perfect circle? Then maybe it is a yeast infection. I learned that from my daughters pediatrician. When little girls get a yeast infection it is pretty much that perfect circle rash. I would take her to a doctor and find out for sure.

It sounds like a yeast infection. (It could also be a reaction to her diaper, wipe, or bath product) You didn't mention if she was on meds or not. An antibiotic can cause yeast infections like this, or it can be a sign of diabetes or other diseases. I would CALL the pediatrician and see what they think. IF this is a yeast infection, your daughter will likely be prone to them throughout life, and after she turns 6 months old can be fed yogurt with active cultures to help curb them. Good luck.

Call the doctor...immediately. I have heard of this happening when breastfeeding mothers are taking birth control. A friend of mine was doing just that, and her 2 month old daughter not only got a vaginal infection, but also got a period.

I suppose a girl/woman of any age can get an infection down there, which is what I'm guessing it is. Take her to see a doctor...probably needs antibiotics.

Definitely take her in to the pediatrician. It's possible that some stray poops got in there and could be causing an infection (my doc warned me about that when she showed me how to clean her). She may need some antibiotics.
Edit: but don't panic, with medicine she'll be just fine. :-)

When you see something out of the ordinary like that it is best to take her to the doctor right away it could be an infection and be bothering her which will end up making her cranky and then it will make you cranky.take her to the doc asap

Take your girl to the doc. It sounds like a yeast infection, and yes, they can get them that young. One of my daughters got it when she was very young.
