I would prefer something that looks similar to an ocelot, is much larger than the typical housecat, makes a good pet, and can be trained to be walked like a dog. I have looked into the possibility of an ocicat, but they are a bit smaller than I am interested in. I am leaning toward a bengal right now- any suggestions?

Main Coons are a large cat, they are one of the largest growing domestic cat. Bengals in comparison are shorter fur and not as large but they are a highly trainable and beautifully coloured cat. You may also want to look into something like a Russian blue which are generally a large blue/grey cat and are quite stalky across the front shoulders.

I recommend the Bengal. I had one and he was one of the best pets. He was very smart and had tons of personality. On top of it he was super beautiful and it was a plus that he loved water.

a friend of mine breeds half bobcat half house cat, the are larger than regular cats, but they don't have the aggression that an outdoor big cat would have.

look into Maine Coons, they're big, loving and can be trained to walk on a leash.
