I have a non core system Manuf. on Feb 16 2006. I bought the HD and have had horrible issues with the console seizing. Last night I removed the HD and was able to play without any seizing issues. Does anyone know of anyone else having issues with a HD causing seizing? Or is there some other reason the console seizes?

Hard drives can go bad, and when/if they do due to manufacturer defect, it tends to happen early, see if it's under warranty and can be replaced.

They can also fail due to age, abuse, environment, etc.

This could be due to dust, defects, melting, or a accidental break by someone(kids, friends, you, anyone...).

It seems unlikely that a hard drive could cause you to have a seizure.
