I got pregnant taking the pill. In the fine print it states that the pill has enough hormones for a woman 180lbs and under. Being a full figured woman over 180lbs, I skipped over the fine print and got pregnant. Unfortunately, I kept taking to pill and it caused me to misscarry. But yes, women do get pregnant on the pill.

The birth control pill and patch will get 8 people out of 100 people who use it pregnant. This means if a couple uses birth control pills to prevent pregnancy and then have sex 100 times there is a high probability that 8 of those times the woman will end up pregnant.
I've never gotten pregnant off of the pill or any other form of birth control. I have known so many people who take the pill religiously but still get pregnant. I suggest you wear a condom just to be on the safe side if you don't want to have a baby anytime soon.

I got preggo while on the pill. I was taking Yasmin- and I still do now after my baby has been born. I took my pill around the same time every single day.... I did not do drugs, and I rarely drank alcohol.
The only thing- I think could have happened because I was on it for 5 years prior... is that I was taking a different medication at the time. I think it could have interfered. IT was a huge shock, but greatly accepted. I was 23 at the time.

I drank occasionally...like not even once a week (which is fine even if you are on the pill, it won't affect the way it works). I got pregnant on the pill. I was always careful about taking it. Its only 92% effective. 1 out of every 8 women have conceived while on the pill.
good luck

I was on the pill when I got pregnant. I took it everyday around the same hour. I did smoke cigarettes, and drank occasionally. I''m not sure if that had any effect on it though. My aunt and best friend were also on the pill when they got pregnant...I'm not sure if they were consistent with taking their pills everyday though. We were all on Ortho Tri Cyclen.
