My mom swears by Miracle Grow. There are several formulas, so get the best for your plants, but in my opinion, that's the best.

I always spread bone meal and blood meal on top of the ground before or while the plant is forming blooms, but don't put this on during the height of bloom....the rest of the year I use Hi-Yield 20-20-20 in spraying the foliage. If they are particular flowers, etc. then get the particular food designed for them. Example: hibiscus, bouganvillea (dried epsom salt each week in addition to fertilizer or a super phosphate fertilizer with a very high 2nd number,.....a lot of love and care makes all the difference and do it year around even when they are not blooming...always something that needs to be done. I just planted 10 flats of snapdragons today...1/2 Liberty and 1/2 Rocket...the ground already has fertilizer turned in the soil. I won't fertilize again until the roots really get going and I cut them back hard so I can have 3 times the number of bloom March 1.

Are you fertilizing now and if so indoors or out? The best fertilizer contains nitrogen, phosporous, and potassium. The symbols on the box will be NPK. The box will also give you the rations. A 30-10-10 would be good but all of this varies on the needs of the particular plant and your soil. Fertilizing outdoor plants in the fall (4 season climate) is a waste because the plants started going dormant in August. Dormant plants do not need fertilzer. Check the nutrient requirements for the plants you are thinking about fertilizing and then pick the appropriate fertilizser. N is for nitorgen, P is for phosphorous. and K is for potassium. The higher the number in the sequence, the more there is of that particular nutrient. So if your plant needs heavy nitrogen look for a big number in the first position of NPK.

I agree, Miracle Gro is the final soil. be sure your plant gets numerous sunlight until this is a coloration loving plant. If it relatively is summer time, the plant will % extra water to proceed to exist the sunlight's warmth. I advance plant life in my basement decrease than numerous intense potential flourescent bulbs and that they advance fairly properly there.

Growing better, healthier, lusher, more colorful plants is good. Growing faster doesn't mean better. Faster sometimes makes for spindly, sickly plants .

photosynthesis is what makes your plant grow.fertilizing only help you keep the plants healthy.and if you over feeding you can burn your root system.for faster growth you need more light.and remember all plants need rest time as well as light. good luck!
