They didn't. Most Americans did not vote for Bush. Unfortunately, a lot of Americans did not vote at all.

Who says most Americans voted for Bush? The Supreme Court put him in power in 2000.

Actually, Al Gore won the popular vote in 2000. GWB won a majority of the electoral votes.

If you look at a county vote map, GWB won about 80 % of the counties across America.

In 2004, GWB won the popular and electoral vote.

Why did he win? If after Kerry's comments this week dissing the Military, you can't figure it out, then you need help. He is a wannabe elitist snob who married into money and has almost never had to earn his own way.

Gore is a liar, a crook, and an idiot.

GWB isn't perfect, but GIMME A BREAK!

Your question contains erroneous information.
*most* americans didn't even vote in either presidential election.
Of those that did, more voted for Al Gore than George Bush in the first one -- but because of a quirk in our election system, Bush won the election despite getting less votes than Gore.
Bush got more votes total than John Kerry in 2004, so the majority of americans who did vote in 2004 voted for Bush. But I didn't, either time :)

Oh God, here come the conspiracy theories. Pregnant Chads, people forbidding people to vote, get over it. GWB won twice and the reason is simple... Al Gore and John Kerry. That is the best the Democrats could come up with and they got what they deserved. Until the Democrats come up with someone with IDEAS, they will never get anyone elected. By the way, GWB's G.P.A. was higher than John Kerry's.

We often make odd decisions when voting. We elected Nixon twice too! About 1/3 of the people think he is doing a good job.

Bush didn't get over 50% of the vote so most people didn't vote for him not to mention a lot of Americans don't vote.

Because the good ones outnumber the evil ones, and they also have enough sense to punch a ballot. Good moral people got out to vote last election, some who hadn't voted for years. They realized what the libs were doing to our country and decided to fight evil.
