It probably had a bad experience as a youngster . Does it feel safer once hidden or isn't the sofa large enough to conceal it's tusk.

I would love to see your friends living room.

This question isn't normal. Honestly, a narwhal? Narwhals don't have fur, so there's no reason for it to be afraid of a fur coat. Also, how do you own one? It's not as if you can stroll into a pet store and purchase a narwhal.

Not normal. For your friend to have a narwhal in his living room, he'd have to have an aquarium there that's 30 feet across, or bigger. It would be not normal to have a sofa in a big aquarium.

Well I don't know what a narwhal is, but it probably thinks the people are other animals and is scared. Other animals react that way as well.

Completely normal ---- It believes they are Inuits -- traditional predators. Tell your neighbour to get one of those party clickers to hand to his visitors and have them click it as they approach -- this is how narwhals communicate within their pods ------- but wait....... better not --- not being familiar with the language, they may inadvertently make matters worse!! Sorry, not much help after all ............
