It depends on the felony and what you are applying for. A convicted child molester should apply at a daycare center!

Find a company that is willing to give you a chance and start from the bottom. Work hard to prove yourself. NEVER put yourself in a situation where you are suspect. Stay clean, even in your personal life. Don't give anyone a reason to not trust you.

Even though you did your time, you are still viewed as "guilty" - and that's unfair if you are trying to put you past behind you. I hired an ex-felon many years ago and he was the best employee I hired in the company. He made the conscious decision to never get into a legal issue again. After a year of working for me, someone accused him of theft - knowing his past - and the police heavily investigated him. All of us stood up for him and it was found that the crime happened while he was at work and committed by the accuser's son.

It will take time to find a company like this, but don't give up. I was unemployed for 6 months and suffered many rejections -and I have no criminal record. You just have to keep trying.

Best of luck.

Umm. . . I guess it would depend on the felony. I'm not sure what kind of credentials you have so I'll just throw a few things out there. . . Commisioned sales, receptionist, driver, call center representive . . . I'm not sure what else but I'm sure there are more.
