That co-worker is trying to kiss butt to look so good... However, if the manager, or supervisor should notice this, the fact that he/she con't even offer any bit of assistance makes him/her look pretty bad on record... If that supervisor does not keep note of such actions, then he/she is as biased as the coworker.
But your supervisor is in fact neutral, as he/she should be, you should go have a talk with him/her, or even file a complaint against the co-worker and state it as negligeant and unprofessional, Would rather show some bad attitude, than to upkeep a positive working atmosphere, and what more to make that this co-worker is going out of his/her way to hold things against you... The fact that he/she is breathing down your collar in hopes of finding any flaw you'll do, you can get away with filing for harrassement and, in fact you can say that whatever mistakes held against you are the result of him/her attempting to intimidate you, and whatever threats that are being waved in your face by this individual.
Cheers!

Does your boss know that no one is helping you?
Seems to me that everyone who laughs at you for doing things wrong, are actually doing everything wrong themselves. They're probably using you to cover their own flaws up.
But if no one is helping you then it's not your fault for doing something wrong.
Tell your boss. And ask your boss how to do things the right way in the cases that you are perplexed on.
And if your boss already knows, then you have one messed up group of co-workers.

Ask your manager for assistance. However, do not comment on the fact that the other person is pointing out your flaws. Just explain that you are trying to learn your position better and need some assitance. Ask if they can dedicate someone to help you.

I would sit down with your supervisor and ask for full instructions on the tasks you need help with. Take extensive notes. Food for thought this person that keeps picking out your flaws is probably jealous. Perhaps they wanted the job you were hired for and they didn't qualify for it.

I would keep searching for a new job
If asked in an interview why were you at this present job for such a short time, explain to them that it wasn't a well working team of employees, and you are searching for a better organized team to work with.
Or
Stick with it and become the team leader there.

Say thanks for your input, but because I am still new I'm figuring everything out. I'm going to learn how everything works and if I need help, I will be sure to ask you.
