-Take a walk. Or, if you're in too much pain, lie down and pretend you're on an upside down bycycle. (Weird, I know, but it helps.) Stretch your legs out like you were trying to do the splits. The groin and lower stomach area need stretching and moving, so whatever leg motions you are comfortable with, try it.

-Heating pads on your stomach or back. I find that even though my back doesn't hurt it helps to apply the heat to my back. Ther are the plug-in types or the portable (and expensive) Thermacare ones that don't require electricity. I LOVE them.

-Drink something hot, like hot water. Try not to drink anything with caffine or too much sodium because it'll make it worse.

-A good soak in the bath or shower helps. Similar to using heating pads.

-Watch a chick flick, have some ice cream. Or curl up with a good book. Sometimes you just need to focus on something else and that'll help relieve the pain.

A heat pack on your lower adbomen usually helps. There is something that one of the companies makes that you can find down the female aisle in the store that is actually for the same thing- it gives you a heated feeling on your lower abdomen. If you cant do that, you can take a small hand towel, dampen it, put it in a gallon size ziplock baggie and pop it in the microwave for a minute or so to heat it up- it wont stay hot that long, but it will help! :)

Make a rice bag! Cut out cloth to the size that you want it Example. 1ft. by 1ft. Sow 3 and a half of the sides. In the half that you didn't sow pour dry rice into the bag. Sow the hole.
When done, put in the microwave and heat till desired warmth. Then take and put on the place that is hurting! I did this and it worked like a miracle.
You can also use Rice Bag on other places, like your back, tail bone, legs, arms, anywhere! Good luck!

There is a way to have a caring partner give pressure point massaging to relieve the pain, but I'm not certain where you can find where to apply the massage or the listing for that

A hot bath or heating pad might work. I've also read somewhere that if a person cuts down on their sodium intake two weeks prior to their period, the cramping won't be as bad.

I find that a little alcohol really works. Like a shot of anything you can stand the taste of. It relaxes you without making you drunk and eases the stress and pain of the cramps.
