=Yes, yes, yes, most definitely personality affects how one does go thru menopause. Ever since I was a teen I had heard horror stories from so many women it nearly scared ne ti death. Women that end to be "woe is me" type of people suffer and experience everything that is written in the medical books. However, those with a positive attitude and good personality, go through it and barely notice. When they realize hey have at least 30 good years left to live, why not make the best of a natural phenomena.

I don't think so. I think its the similar for both men and women. We will all wake up one day and realize that the majority of our life is over. Whether that brings on a crisis or not depends on whether or not we've accomplished what we set out to in life, whether we're happy and satisfied.... OR whether we feel we've not accomplished anything of value, and that we've wasted our life doing nothing particularly special. When people do that,... they have a tendancy to try to regain their youth,.... hence the young girlfriends/boyfriends,... affairs,... sports cars...ect, just to try to turn back the clock, or to feel special somehow.

Just my own personal point of view though.

Well, attitude, what you believe, all play a part in everything.
"We become what we think" is very true.
Hormones also play a part in this is as a varible in woman.
Although mid-life crisis is written up in media as a negative event, it is actually a powerful road to wisdom and intuition.
You always in life have turmoil before growth.
