If a headhunter asks about my current salary, how shall I respond, esp. when I think that I am under paid and I am expecting double or triple my salary after taking a new job? Just assume that I am worth the double or triple. :)

the headhunter already knows what your worth anyway, just by looking at your resume:) good luck....most look to see what area your working in too....This is a very big deal.....My husband lives up here in Ohio and works in Florida because of this reason, higher paying jobs are obsolete in this town!

Be honest with them. They will know based on your current job title if you are underpaid. Remember, they can easily call the company and do a reference check.

And if you are moving up to a higher position, they will know the pay range for the next position. And if you "think" you should make 2 to 3 times your current salary, be ready for a reality check based on your industry and market conditions. Do your research.

Remember, the more you get paid, the more they get paid!!!
