i have a ds lite and i kno it has a wi-fi but cant u also play games and pictochat w/ other people?
does it have 2 be around your area or cna it be at least citywide.
NO ONE NEAR ME HAS A DS!!

Yes, you can pictochat with nearby people and play games that support multiplayer. The range is only 30 to 100 feet, not nearly city wide. Though if you have a wireless router you can connect to it as some games support play over the internet with anyone in the world.

To get online with the wifi, you need either a wireless router (hotspot) wherever you are or you can pay $20 for a USB adapter. Pictochat and local wifi however do not require any peripheral equitment.

I think the wi-fi connection is only got for about 65 feet, until it stops working.
