I really miss them too but i think that they are trying their hardest to do good stuff.I mean albums that are created in short periods that talk about love lust and sex(only) would be their downfall for good so i think it`s good they act mature and always try to do something innovative and now that they released American idiot they`re on a higher rock level which is even more delicate than before(i mean when they were teens they could do sucking songs and they would suck along with the sucking songs so there wouldn`t be much of a deal)But now that they passed on the golden area they should be careful where they step.I know the waiting is killing cos there isn`t much on the market that would be really worth listening but i know that they`re next album will be something worth the waiting.

The phrase "green day" is Bay-area slang for a day with lots of green bud where you just sit around taking bong hits, hanging around. Billie Joe picked the phrase up from friends while chilling in his "habitat" (in the basement of a Berkeley University building), and wrote the song Green Day about his first pot experience. The group changed their name from Sweet Children to Green Day in 1990. Note too that Ernie from Sesame Street has also uttered the phrase Green Day.

I think they're waiting to make good music instead of forcing s****y music out of themselves, either that or perosnal reasons would have to be the only reason for this long delay between albums.

I haven't heard any rumors or announcements about a new album but one should definitely be coming out soon by the normal release times between albums (a little under 2 years).
