Im curious of this because although it may not smell, im sure there's bacteria growing in the threads right after you dry off.

HI, BEING THAT THE BODY IS CONSTANTLY SHEDDING IT'S
SKIN ON A DAILY BASIS, IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE 7
TOWELS, AND 7 FACE CLOTHS. THIS IS WHAT THE MILITARY DID WHEN I WAS IN THE SERVICE. 1 TOWEL AND
1 FACE CLOTH PER DAY. HYGIENICALLY SPEAKING, IT'S A
GOOD THING TO PUT INTO PRACTICE....
I STILL DO THIS PRESENTLY........
NO NEED TO PUT DEAD SKIN BACK ON YOUR BODY!!!

Towels I use after a shower are switched out every other day.

Towels to dry your hands are switched out at the end of the day, these are used more and aren't able to dry out completely before using them again therefore increasing the risk of bacteria growth

If you are sick or have any infections the towel should only be used once and washed.

The most important thing is to let them hang so all parts of the towel dry out and prevent bacteria from growing

After you've dryed off your clean body I would still only use the towel once. Think did you then allow that towel to drop to the floor? Think of the crevaces that hunk cloth touches?
That's just a personal opinion on Hygien.

It is fine to wash your towel about once every 4-6 days as long as you have one towel for your hair, and one for your body. It also depends on how soft you want your towel because it will become more ruff as the week goes on and it also depends whether or not you bath everyday or every 2nd day as well. As long as it smells clean your fine.

a lot of it depends on you personally. do you keep your bathroom door closed? is it closed when you shower? a warm wet towel is a breeding ground for bacteria. i leave my door open all the time - even when i shower, i still don't let it be used for more than 3 days - and if i smell anything on them before that (even my soap) i change it. they shouldn't smell like anything but your clean laundry to keep using them. sometimes that's 2 times, sometimes it's 3. but once they take on smell, they are breeding too much bacteria.

You should be CLEAN after the shower, and if it is hung openly, so as to dry like on a clothes line, then you don't need to wash it every time you use it. (except for kids and persons with limited abilities who may not be proficient at getting clean)
If you live in a humid place, tho, it will not dry adequately so you need to do it more often.

You should always use a new towel every time that you take a shower because without even knowing your body oils, dirt, and other ikky stuff stay on the used towel and when you reuse it you just end up rubbing all that stuff back on your clean body.

I would say 2 times is a charm, but if you do not have too many extra towels, then you can go 3. Hope this helps.

Never since you are drying off with clean water. The clean water you are wiping off of your body works to clean the towel. In fact, everytime you dry yourself off, the towel is cleaner than it was before. Keep drying with the same one and you will have the cleanest towel in the world.
