Depends on who your giving it. If to your mom then the gift is good because all moms love jellies. To a girlfriend...no. She'll probably hit you over the head with one of the jars.

Hey, a gift is a gift. If someone is not grateful for whatever they are given, then tough! They don't deserve the gift if they are going to be picky about it!

I like that gift idea. It's original, and, yes, it will last all year long. I think she will like it, especially if she's what is known as a "foodie" (i.e. a person whose hobby is food.) And even if she's not, again I agree: Who doesn't like jelly?
