1. i was with them for 3 weeks. so i won't be using them as a reference. they told me they would put in a good word for me if someone called as if they were my friends but i can't even use them for that.2 they fired me for 1.wearing cords that look like jeans2.not shaving for 1 day. 3. being late 8 minutes because i got stopped by a train 3. and my IT director told me to go to lunch from 12-1 instead of my normal 1-2pm, but my sister was in town and i had to take her to the airport. because her flight left at 3 i thought i would take her during my lunch break.he said my new lunch break would be from 12-1 unless someone need me to fill in for them. i didn't know i had to run it by him ever single time i went to lunch. and then he told me after they let me go that they had been watching my computer all day with VNC viewer and that i had been working on an access project all day when i should have been doing my work. i finished my work and thought i would finish the access early 4 him.

NEVER PUT ANYTHING IN WRITING! Sending out a broadcast email will only make you look like a bitter, ex-employee. And someone will print it and it will be in your file. And the next company that calls may be notified of the email, no matter if it illegal or not. People talk.

It's better to contact a couple of people you were close with at work, meet for dinner or a drink and explain what happened. Gossip spreads like wildfire. Especially if it could effect everyone still there.

Then move on. Look at it as a date that did not work out. The next job may be better. Don't stew about it. Put your energy into your job search.

Good luck.

You will look like a fool if you send it.

As rough as it sounds, most other people probably don't care why or even if you were fired. People worry about their own jobs, not everyone elses. If you have some work friends that you feel the need to vent to, by all means do so ... but don't risk getting a bad name for yourself by doing something so foolish as e-mailing the entire company.

Do NOT send anything in writing!... It could only hurt you in the future and open the possibility of a law suit... If you think that you were fired unjustly then contact the state labor board and file a complaint...

damn, what happened? But I do know how you feel. I didn't quit my job I left and I was trying to go back and I started getting the feeling that my former superviser was black balling me due to the fact that she was, rather she is having an affair with a building service employee who is on drugs, and just plain sheisty, and everybody knew, because they don't know what discreet means. I felt like she was black balling me because her boyfriend told her that it was me who was going around telling their business, when in actuality, it was him and his big mouth, and his carelessness of not keeping his business to himself, boy did I want to send an email, stating the RULES TO AN INTEROFFICE AFFAIR, BUT I JUST DECIDED NOT TO, FOR BETTER JUDGEMENT

if you are in the US and your are only telling the truth (no lies at all) then no you're safe. If you put in even one little white lie then yes you could be charged with slander.

Slander, of course. Also if you do something like this it may hurt your chances of receiving any unemployment benefits that you may have been entitled to.
