unknown sender instead of having a email address who its from

They're masking the header or using an open relay. You can open the header in most e-mail clients and get the sender's address.

they went in there email settings and remove there name and put in unknown sender .

I am not sure how its done. When you get and email like this do not open it because it could contain a virus. Best bet is to delete it and not worry why or how you got it.
