It can't hurt but do not rely soley on looks. Make sure you use your brain as well. Nothing more sexier and attractive than a good looking woman with a good head on her shoulders. THAT will get you further.

There is always a time when pretty is not enough. When you have to show that you have the goods to be able to do the job. You MAY be able to sleep your way up a degree or two within a company. But you also have to have the brains to be able to stay there.

There are a lot of very beautiful women out there in the work force. They are no longer a novelty. And you are just as likely to see handsome men using their looks to try to achieve more in the corporate world nowadays.

Either way, I don't think looks serve to buy anyone their way to the top of their professions. Their looks may get them a more favourable review at the initial interview, but they have to have the skills for the job like everyone else.

There are probably a few exceptions to this. After all there are tens of thousands of companies out there. But the companies that have allowed a person to sleep their way to the top are probably less than 1% of the total.

Yes, it most certainly does. Think about it. When you interview for a job, you are trying to make a good impression. Lets say that 2 people, who are 100% equally qualified, interview for the same position in a company. The person that is more attractive will get the job, especially if the job has anything to do with dealinging with the public.

Actually no, not in the long run. Sure, someone might open your door or pick up your tab. But as you get older, people care less and less about how you look and more about what you can do. And if you've always relied on your looks then it's hard to adjust to using your brain power. It can be a real slap in the face the first time you don't get what you want.

I think to be successful its 30% looks, 30% intelligent, 30% personality, and 10% luck. Being pretty definitely open doors, but it is the other 70% that keeps you in the game.

i honestly think that your looks play a big part in it. it builds your self esteem, the higher your esteem the better. I consider my self average, but I have high esteem. I'm 28 yrs old and a supervisor at my job over about 28 people. I consider my self successful.
