I forgot to mention that the unprotected sex was with my husband of four years so std's are not a worry and if a baby does come along its fine.......but thank you for your concern.

Any time you have unprotected sex you run the risk of pregnancy not to mention STD's and AIDS. I am not sure if you mean you were half way thru your menstrual cycle or half way thru your bleeding. If you were half way thru your cycle that is the perfect time to get pregnant, but if you were still bleeding the chance lessens, but there is still a chance. Good luck and please stop having unprotected sex. Its like playing russian roulette with your life and a helpless babies life.

Semen can live in the vagina or uterus for up to 7 days. Though it is unlikely they will adhere to the lining of the walls because of menstruation but it is possible and still a bad idea to have unprotected sex. Seriously, keep having unprotected sex and getting pregnant will be the best possible scenario.

There is really no chance of conceiving during your period. The best time to try to conceive is about 2 weeks after your period. If you're afraid of being pregnant after sex during your period, relax. You should be just fine.

It is possible to conceive during a period because the sperm swims into the Fallopian tube and can stay viable until an egg is released.

If you have a regular cycle, and you are halfway through it, it means that you might be ovulating, so the chances are higher, however, factors like stress, excessive exercise, dieting and other factors can lower your chances of conceiving.

The chances are still pretty high of conseption during menstration. The sperm does not get washed away by the lining of the uterus being passed out of the body. Sperm naterally swims up the falopian tubes, thus by passing the passing of the lining.

It's very unlikely unless you do not have regular cycles. Most women do not ovulate during their period or even for at LEAST a week after.
