I'm assuming that you meant 4 wks late with your period. It could be something going astray in your body or hormones or something. Go to your gyn and tell him what has been happening.

Did you try urine and blood? Some people just don't show on pregnancy tests for months. I'd strongly suggest taking prenatals as a precaution and asking your doctor if they could check for a heartbeat. I think 4 weeks late means 8 weeks preggy and a heartbeat might be picked up. If that doesn't work or isn't an option, just treat yourself like you are preggy and keep waiting.

your body produces a hormone and this is what shows up on a pregnancy test. With me my hormone level was extremely low on both of my children I didn't get a positive test until I was 10 weeks pregnant.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Do you mean period late or 4 weeks overdue on delivering. If its for your period, if you diet or stress can effect it.
