People already enjoy Naturist/ Nudist lifestyle and the membership in associations resorts and local groups have an astounding number who are both full time nudists or casual visitors. Really, of all the average people, being nude it is not as noticeable as you might think.
When your in your house, why wear clothes, you have to wash.
Like me, I dress to go to the store & P.O. less that an hour. I can wear my jeans all week and wash on the weekend. It saves water. :)

I think it would be kinda boring. I think people are too uptight about showing skin and nudity, but clothes can be provocative, while nudity as the norm wouldn't be.

I think an ideal would be having no restrictions on clothing, so that clothing would be ornamental rather than something to cover your 'dirty parts'. I'll bet a party where the women wear dresses with one breast exposed would get a man's interest more than a party where everyone was topless (if clothing optional were the norm). Any time I've been in a situation where there were nudity and people of both sexes, it's strange how normal people act. You'd think everyone would be horny and crazy, but its usually just like any other party!

Then we would be very cold in the winter & sunburned in the summer! If it was the norm, this question would be erelavant and you would most likley be asking "Why isn't it normal to cover our skin with material?" Nudity today , by many standards is looked at as a sexual thing when it is far from that. In European countries most don't look twice when a nude body is exposed. Its accepted and its not shameful as it is reflected here in the USA. It would be very nice for nakedness to be the norm, but our mind set would have to change also.

Nudity will never be the norm in most situations, but it should definitely be the norm in certain ones. Being nude on the beach, in a sauna, at a friend's pool ar just lying in the sun on a warm summer day should certainly be considered appropriate...it doesn't hurt anyone and as it becomes the norm in these situations, there will be less prudery about something as harmless as simple bare skin.

I love being nude on the beach, and for myself and many others that's the norm in that situation. In other situations, being clothed is totally necessary and appropriate.

It would be awesome if we could be nude if we chose to be, whenever we wanted to. I think most people would still be cautious where they do it, but at least we could do it in places we wanted to.

Scary to think about. I don't want to see all the ugly things I'd be forced to see. We would be blind I think.
