A glass of wine with dinner every once and awhile won't hurt a thing. It's the heavy, drinking or the daily drinking that causes problems.

Have you heard that drinking alcohol is bad for you? I'm sure you have. Everyone knows that alcohol isn't that good for you. Well, now, if you're pregnant everything you eat and drink goes to the baby. That means the alcohol goes to the baby. Of course, it's not healthy and why would you even take the chance? So many of the problems caused by moms drinking during pregnancy are not visible problems. They are developmental.

Are you willing to take that chance with your kid. Everyone reacts differently and to take the risk of drinking while pregnant is terrible and the one you hurt is the child. Sometimes the effects of the drinking does not show up in children until they are older.. learning defects, emotional defects, etc. Why take a chance with SOMEONE elses life. You owe it to your child to give them the best chance at being healthy and normal.

Why take a risk? Your child could be born with fetal alcohol syndrome, and that's not a small problem! There are special cases all the time, but you might not be one of those special cases. Just don't drink.

So, just because other pregnant who have drank alcholol in the past gives you a pass to drink just because nothing happened to their kids? How do you know nothing's happened? Effects could kick in long after their born. Please don't be ignorant.
Hey, have you ever heard of that saying, "If your friend(s) jump off a bridge, would you too?"
Come on! Common sense!

Alcohol retards development. Their children are often less mentally capable than those who were not exposed to alcohol in utero. There can be other developmental deficiencies.
