It is a job that can make you some money and still be flexible enough for you to fit it into your schedule so that you can still make it to classes. You should probably line up some dog walking for people that work all day, and have a daily routine before, between, or after classes. You can also do some house/pet sitting and stay with pets overnight. Keep in mind that pet sitting is not ALL fun and games...things can go wrong and you may end up being responsible for a sick animal or injured animal. Always have the name of the vet of the animal you are caring for, and arrange for the owners to leave some sort of payment (a credit card #, or signed check) with the vet for emergencies so you don't end up paying the bill. Also you should be bonded or have insurance or both to protect yourself. It may be a little costly upfront..but can save you money down the line. Check out these websites to get you started:

As a professional pet sitter, I would say no. Unless you are very responsible and want to work for someone else. Insurance is very expensive. You will be responsible for the keys to someone's home, their pets and their prosessions while they are gone. Things can go wrong and without the insurance you will be paying if they do for a long time. Check out the website www.petsit.com to see if there is an accredited sitting service in your area that is hiring.

Yes, the only problem is it isn't a 9-5 job and sometimes you won't get a job everynight and be stuck without money. Maybe you could do dog walking and feeding as well for people.

that would be OK but I suggest you go online and research the health care information of the animals you intend to set for.

If it pays good why not? The only thing is, if it's cash, it won't be good for you at income tax time or retirement as far as SS.

If it pays enough to get you through, then go for it.
