for the last 3 months, i've had 3 jobs (waitressing)

1st job (in august) i quitted cause the hours were insane (6 pm-3 in the morning) and we are NOT allowed to sit down unless we have permission, which i thought was rediculous--so that job lasted A DAY (i was only in training too) =0X

2nd job (got it in sept) is where i currently work @. but they only schedule me ONE-TWO days a week working 4pm-10 pm, and i never make over $30! i don't think i can live off of $30 a week. i ask for more hours, but they don't have any more hours for me.

3rd job (i got in october) is where i currently work at too. i cocktail waitress friday-saturday nights from (8pm-3 am) the boss is a bit more laid back. she doesn't have her eyes on me every minute of the day since she's always busy. so i don't mind that job--cause all i do is socialize with people who buy drinks from me.

BUT the thing is, i want MORE hours..ATLEAST 40 hours a week. and NEITHER of those places i currently work at can give.

so WHAT SHOULD I DO?

A. quit my other two jobs, and hope to get a job that will hire me full time?

OR

B. keep my other two jobs, and just work with what days i have left for my THIRD job?

As an employer you raise a red flag on your application with job hopping, but I wave that off if it is over hours. What I like to see on apps is a constant. If your young we understand some fast quitting but it doesn't make us feel confident about taking you on. What I was told and I tell anyone that comes to me with your question NEVER quit a job until you have another one. From your schedule it sounds as if you have the time to look for a job that can give you 40+hrs a week. But make sure that you you are applying at places that you want to work at. And give some thought to getting out of waiting as there are very few that can offer 40hrs much less make them a profitable 40hrs. Good Luck.

If you maintain a habit of "job hopping", you will not be seen as a desirable employee, as you will likely leave in a couple months.

I suggest you keep your two jobs and look for another job. If you find one that can give you 40 hrs, then you can quit the other two. If you find one that can fill in some hours, maybe you could quit one job. If you really want financial security, you will have to find a job outside of waitressing.

Why don't you try going to school, then maybe you'll get a better job making more money. Job hoping makes you look very bad to employers, regardless if you can, it makes you look like you can not hold a job.
