10 gallons each when they are little. They can grow to be around 8" if they are both the fancy type (double tail). If the other one is a single tail then it can grow to around 12". Can you picture both of them in a tiny tank? And the myth that they only grow to the size of their tank is totally wrong. Their body stops growing but their insides don't and eventually they will die from it. I would get at least a 29 gallon to give them as much space as possible. They do the most growing the first year of their life, they never stop though, unless they are stunted by keeping them in something too small. And always get the longer tanks instead of the taller tanks. The filter is important too, because they are so messy they need a filter that pumps all the water at least 10 times an hour. So if you do get the 29 gallon tank the filter would have to do 290 gallons per hour, I would get either the Penguin 350 or the Aquaclear 50/300. Goldfish need a lot more space than tropical fish. I wouldn't get anything less than 20 gallons, and they would be much better off with 29 gallons. Your tiny goldfish isn't going to stay tiny; he will get at least as big as your black moor, maybe bigger. If you are able, they would actually be even happier in an outdoor pond.

Goldfish need much more space than tropical fish. They are a very messy fish and will foul up a small tank quickly. I'd do a least a 20 gal tank.

You can easily get by with a ten gallon if you change the water frequently, say once a week. Not a full change but at least 25 percent of the water. This is always a good idea with goldfish b/c of the harmful toxins they put out.

The rule I always go by is 1 inch of fish per gallon of water. So for the 3 fish you have, get an approximate measurement and go to the pet store and ask an expert. www.petco.com is a really good site for information on that subject

A fish needs a gallon per every inch so I'd say a 5 or 10 gallon tank.
