My boyfriend and I are in our 20's and currently live in Kansas. We're wanting to move somewhere "exciting" while we're still young. We like warm weather and being outside. We'd like a place where the cost of living is somewhat reasonable. The more things there are to do, the better. I am in marketing, and he is a student, so there would need to be a university near by. Any suggestions?

No place on earth is more exciting than New York. I lived there for 5 years. And there are several universities. But it's not cheap. There are some really good areas in Queens and Brooklyn that are funky and less expensive than Manhattan.

For the money, Phoenix is nice, LA, San Diego, and San Francisco are great but you'll have a hell of a time affording the cost of living in these areas. Phoenix has so much to offer and it is close to LA and San Diego for nice weekend trips.
Good Luck.

Dallas, TX. for jobs, jobs, jobs (and education).
Austin, TX for education, stuff to do and tech jobs
San Antonio for education & stuff to do.

I love California, but Texas does not have an income tax and anyone can afford a home. Florida is also good, but it's really far from your family (if they live in Kansas) and the cost of living is higher.

A really young and fun town would be where I live, Tallahasse, Florida. The cost of living is also very low here. And of course you have Florida State University for your boyfriend. I love it here, there is always something to do.

Dallas or Denver. The young crowd is highly visible in this area and both cities offer an abundance of bars, retail and culturally stimulating activities.

I read an article on MSN the other day where they explained where the best cities for singles were -- for many of the same reasons you would seem to like.
