No offense, but if that is what you believe, you have been greatly misinformed. No, most white people hate groups like the KKK just as much as everyone else, if not more so. Its because of groups like them that white people in America can't be proud of being white without being accused of being racist.
I have asked this before, but I'll ask again as food for thought. What do you do when your first grader asks why there is no white history month? That question is meant to illustrate my point. If white people were allowed to be proud of being white, there would be a white history month just like there is a black history month.

The KKK has never had a figurehead who did not end up looking like a idiot after having being asked difficult questions. Misrepresentation and violent beginnings are the initial reason that keeps this group small. The KKK is also one of the most notable signs of freedom of speech, along with Larry Flint. I believe their quest is mainly for racial purification and they oppose anyone who does not agree with this. However even people that agree with this are soon to be turned off when a KKK leader gets into a heated debate and makes a fool of himself. Most people do not support the KKK, and probably participation will decline in the future.

Absolutely not. At no time have the majority of White Americans supported the KKK.
The KKK had it's peak in membership 80 years ago in the 1920's. At that time approximately 15% of Americans belonged to the KKK-all white males.
As of 2000 the KKK had 3,000 members nationwide. Our nation's population now exceeds 300,000,000. So that means .0001% of the population is a KKK member. Whites make up an approximate average of 70% of the population in most states. So the KKK represents 1.42% of the white American population.

Nope. I don't think most White people ever supported the KKK. But a lot of Whites were scared to speak up about things like segregation because of the Klan. They were and are thugs and bullies towards anyone who disagrees with them.
There were an awful lot of Whites who had some false ideas about Black people, but only a minority were truly hateful and violent. Black people got it the worst from the Klan, but the Klan did target a lot of other groups as well. Just not to the same degree that they victimized Black people.
The Klan hated/hates Catholics, Jews, liberals, Whites who associate with Blacks, Whites from Eastern and Southern Europe (Italians, Poles, etc...) gay people, illegal immigrants, Asians, and I'm sure there are some others I could think of if I had the time.
In fact, if you add it all up the majority of Whites are also on their hate list. And that is really ironic because they claim their objective is to protect the White race. I know I'd be afraid if they moved into my neighborhood.

I am white... nobody that I've ever met has been a part of or supported the KKK. I think that SOME.., not all, older people that were around when A.Americans and Whites went to differnt schools, drank from different water fountains, etc. and were growing up in a time when it was acceptable to say the "N" word may still hold on to some prejudice. It was taught to them by thier parents. Now we shop at the same stores, go to the same schools, and can interact with one another. Now everyone knows that A.Americans are the same as us, then we whites were taught that A.americans were beneath them, dirty.. etc. Every white person that is a friend of mine chooses thier friends for WHO they are and not by what color thier skin is.. hope you find what you are looking for

No, I would say definately not, the KKK or white supremist groups are in the minority by a long shot, they just happen to be loud and vocal, so you hear a lot about them. They certainly don't represent my views in any way, shape, or form, and I would hope the majority of white Americans feel the same.

Of all the people I know, there isn't a single one who would give the Ko Ko Klan the time of day.
They're like a bunch of kids hiding under bed sheets and pretending they're important.
I havn't heard of the KKK doing anything except burning a cross now and then. That does no harm. They think they're big bad guys- - - okay, they burned a cross. Isn't that something to crow about ?

Absolutely not! Most whites are diametrically opposed to the KKK. Do you honestly think that most white people are racists?
