metal is always gonna be segmented music,d'u know what i mean. but it will last, for there always these metal movement around the globe that'll re-generate this kind of music. nowadays, major record labels seems to be more "accepting" metal, it's kinda weird though... since metal is always been labeled as "underdog music". personally, i'll always listen & play metal

Well, metal isn't so great these days. Not like the good old days when metal was king. But today's rock music (or pop/rock, I should say) is a style I find much more pleasant than it has been in at least the past 5 years. Today's music has a lot of the same elements of punk, 60's rock (like the Who) and 80's new wave blended into a cool new sound. Bands like the Killers are definitely worth listening to, in my opinion.

some good, trivium, lamb of god, some bad my chemical romance, every time i die.its a mix bag comeing out now, bands dont know what trend to follow.i like a band that sounds unique and believes in what they do,lamb of god has a sound thats all there own,Trivium sounds like a band thats getting a signature sound. With both bands you can hear in the music the artists they were influenced by,but they use that and create something unique.
