your locked in a room with four others you have 3 rounds in a gun and have to kill three to get out otherwise you all die whod you choose?

the others in the room along with you are :

a great prophet , who could and will answer all the worlds questions on religion, philosopy and the supernatural but cant talk while in the room

a great scientict , who could and will answer all the worlds questions about science, medicine and technology but again cant talk in the room

a total innocent baby , a pure innocent soul who has only just started life

the last great ape in the world , who death would cause its extinction

you have to kill three in the room (can kill yourself if you want) but have to give reason for letting the other two survive?

I would kill myself, because I am one that chases death. The others probably don't want to die, I'm assuming. So I would be the first to grab the gun, letting the others remain with the dilemma.
The other two, I would hope would be, the ape and the scientist. Science is a philosophy and the prophet would handle that loss. Plus the scientists is more closed to the truth than the prophet. The great ape is important, but a small price when compared to the others.
The saved would be the prophet and the baby. The baby hasn't even tasted life and thus doesn't deserve death. The prophet may save the world from itself, at least the prophet would be useful to society.

Kill the prophet since all of religion will eventually be explained by science so obviously let the scientist live.
If science is truly explained completely cloning will be possible and the great ape wont be lost.
As much as i love life i cant take the life of an innocent baby so i would die too.

I'd go with the scientist prophet and ape. Mainly because with the prophet and scientist alive everything would be ruined, why search for knowledge in either of these areas if both of them know everything already? Not that they would even be believed by everyone in the world assuming i let them live.
And the ape because -> If he really is the last one, then who would he mate with to produce others assuming he did survive?
you might want to change that assumption ;)

The baby only stays alive because the ape didn't matter( otherwise i wouldn't mind killing the child because -> with the population of humans on this earth you have to admit, killing one child is almost but not even really, a drop in the bucket)

The prohpeht would die becaue if he was so great one of the supernatural spirits would have told him this day would come

Great Scientist has to die if he was so great he would have solved the problems of guns and there would be no guns

Last Great Ape must die who cares if an ape bites the dust

I'll take the baby home and raise it as my own

I would kill the prophet, the scientist and myself, in that order. I am old enough and wise enough to know that the things you claim for the scientist and prophet, even if true, would be opposed vehemently by some and not be the end all/be all you imply. The baby and the ape are innocent in any moral system that I give validity to, so they are spared from my murdering them, because I am no innocent in any moral system that I give validity to.

#1, save the baby, sorry but the young could be both a great prophet and a great scientict. Potential untapped
#2, kill the ape, not enough DNA for a sustainable species. Sad but 2 is not enough
#3, Kill the scientist because philosphy and religion are much more important to the sustaining of society. Besides, religion and philosophy were here first so they have senority!
#4, kill the prophet, I'm one as well and heck, we don't need two do we?

I'll gun down the ape, the prophet and myself.
Reason being that I recognise Science as the gateway to the future and the child will carry on living long after I'm gone.

I'm sorry. I wasn't allowed to have a door on my bedroom. When I moved out when I was 20...I felt like I'd walked into 'freedom'.:-/ Good luck to you! The nail or door works great. We were not allowed to have a lock on our bathroom door so I'd take an old shoe and shove under the door from the inside. It helped 'slow' the opening process but not eliminate it.

before i went shedding blood all over the place. i would sit there and ask the prophet yes no questions... since he can't talk and all. questions that would eventually lead to some conclusions within religion, philosophy and the supernatural.
then i'd do the same thing with the scientist. ask yes or no questions so he can just nod or shake his head or whatever.....
that way i'd know everything.
afterwards i'd shoot them both (goodness that sounds so cruel) and kill myself. so the ape can go reproduce and so can the baby.
after all, if we know all the answers while living where's the fun (and misery) in life???

I'd off myself. In the grand scheme of things, I'm relatively worthless and have nothing to offer.

I'd kill the ape.

I'd kill the scientist - knowledge can be regained and spread

Let the baby live, because innocence can only be lost, but never regained.

Let the prophet live, because I'm sick and tired of "Religion x is wrong because my religion is right!" and would much rather we figure out that God wants us to shut the hell up and get along.
