I had a friend do mine and it cost $900, i would say between 600 and 900 depending on how much work the heads need. If they are aluminum, they are probably cracked and need welding :(

You wouldn't get fuel in the oil from a head gasket. Head kits come with all the gaskets you need to do the job. Sometimes with new intake seals too. Maybe 200 for a V6. More for anything from Europe

ok think about this, fuel in the oil.how did it get there?raw fuel is in a vacuum in the intake manifold, the cooling system is under pressure under normal opt systems.any raw (unburned gas) fuel
that would sneak past any thing would make the motor run like sh t. if you really have fuel in the oil, it may be from an injector or carb bleeding down after you shut it off, but not from a head gasket.

Head gaskets are fairly cheap.
It's the work/labor involved that will get you.
And if it's been like that for awhile, maybe some head milling is in order as well.
And the ugly worse case scenario, welding or repairing a crack.
