i have tried installing the "creative soundblaster audigy" cd that came with the system and have been on download.com 2 download it but it says that my system is not compatible. what do i do?

If you have xp go into control panel-sound,speech,audio devices-then click on sound effect manager and do a test. Also check out sounds and audio devices one click back and click-then click audio tab and make sure you are using your speakers as the default. If you have installed the soundblaster software and have downloaded needed drivers it should work. Disconnect and reconnect all speaker hardware when computer if off and restart, then do the above, make sure your pc knows the speakers are hooked up by going to control panel-printer and other hardware-then click add hardware in top left of box.

check the volume if it is made mute and check the sound properties in control panel, if it's not the problem check the speakers in anthor computer if it is ok so you have to check the sound card.
