if you're out of contract then you could get a new phone at the rebated price by signing a new contract, or if you don't like t-mobile then you can go to another provider and as long as you haven't cancelled the t-mobile account before you went to sign up with the new provider then the new provider should be able to transfer the old phone number to your new account with them. Most companies (except U.S. Cellular) charge a fee for that though.

If you still have an account with Tmobile, call customer care and explain your situation. They would be more than happy to give you a free or discounted new phone if you sign a new contract.

If you don't want to sign a contract, look on ebay for an unlocked or branded TMobile phone and put your SIM card in it.

www.ebay.com or buy a decent t-mobile prepaid and just put your card in. many have done it.
