My best friend just recently moved to San Diego in the middle of the school year, and before she left, she told me she'd be back after the Thanksgiving weekend for vacation reasons. But her friends that hate me, said she won't be coming back. I don't know who to believe or what to do. I trust my best friend, but I don't know if she just said it was for vacation because she didn't want me to feel bad. I don't know what to do.

After reading the answers here I believe some of you are misinterperating my question, I had meant; 'She said she was going to San Diego for vacation'

She may have every intention of coming back, but something could happen & she may not be able to. If she's with her parents their plans could change. Don't think she's lying if she doesn't make it back.
Do you have a way to get in touch with her? A cell number, text, e-mail, IM...?

If your friend isn't old enough to drive or travel alone, or her parents don't have a reason to return to your area, then she may not be able to visit. If she's in school, she may not be able to leave for a vacation until the Christmas break.
Her friends might be correct, but the reason she isn't coming back could be out of her control and have nothing to do with you.

Oh dear. You are taking the words of these girls that don't like you at all. Why would you even bother to waste your time to talk to them or even listen to what they have to say? Its November the 2nd and its only 3 weeks away from Thanksgiving. You will see for yourself who to believe. There is nothing you can do to ensure the truth at this time, but to just wait and see. Actions speak alot louder then words. Please, don't waiste any more time on those girls that you know don't like you anyway. She will be there when she said she would be. I am sure she still has family where you are. Blessed be ............................. don't worry so much. She is YOUR best friend.

If she is your best friend and you haven't had any problems with one another recently, then you have no reason not to believe her. Never trust a person who hates you, and never even talk to them much less listen to what they have to say. I call them emotional vampires, they just want to suck all of the positive energy from you! Put a cross on those haters and call it a day.

Just believe me. Get yourself some new friends. it's rare that best friends last when they move away, especially at your age. Start looking for some other friends near to where you live. if it's hard at school, then join a club or something. As for her other friends, just ignore them. Not, worth and it spring to mind.
if she comes, great, if not, you'll find someone else to confide in. Honestly you will.

I think her returning for a visit is really dependent on what her parents say.

Why listen to people who don't like you?

call her up and ask her when she will be in town.

just wait and see. don't be mean to her or cut her off or nothing like that. if she continues to call you and keep in touch with you then leave things the way they are. you will eventually see who was telling the truth
