i know i want to work with animals but i dont want to be a vet. i thought about maybe grooming but i want to do something that pays really good too. my question is what other careers are out there that allows you to work with animals? i always wanted to be one those people on the animal channels that take in rescued and injured baby cubs and monkeys, take care of them and then give them to the zoos, but i was told thats not a real job. so i eventually want to be able to open up some sort of daycare or rec center just for animals but as of right now i dont have the resources for that. well im thinking about going to school and dont know what i should take up, help please.? anyone have any ideas?

if you don't want to be a vet how about a vet tech? they make decent money if you get into the right place!! you will have more hands on as a tech than you would as the vet and you don't have to do as much schooling!!

any way you go, working with animals is awsome....try getting into a vet hospital where they work on more than just cats & dogs!!! i did once and i loved seeing the different animals that came in there from the local zoo!!!!

If you don't want to be a vet, how about a veterinary technician? It's like an assistant.

I suggest that you look into a career as a veterinary nurse..
