i know i want to work with animals but i dont want to be a vet. i thought about maybe grooming but i want to do something that pays really good too. my question is what other careers are out there that allows you to work with animals? i always wanted to be one those people on the animal channels that take in rescued and injured baby cubs and monkeys, take care of them and then give them to the zoos, but i was told thats not a real job. so i eventually want to be able to open up some sort of daycare or rec center just for animals but as of right now i dont have the resources for that. well im thinking about going to school and dont know what i should take up, help please.? anyone have any ideas?

I even have been grooming for 17 years. I grew up in a relatives owned kennel, began scoopin poo at age 5 for my allowance, worked for my grandpa's vet health facility at 14, have worked in numerous boarding kennels and for dissimilar Vets in 5 states. I chosen grooming with the aid of fact i'm artistically susceptible which helps interior the occupation, Ity does not contain ill animals or euthanasia, the poo sparkling-up is minimum and the money would properly be great! The complicated certainty is that healthy satisfied animals infrequently bypass to the vet. It takes somebody who can shield the unhappy certainty of the animal worldwide to paintings there without getting emotionally attatched. Kennel paintings is great and many times exciting, yet you would be unable to pay charges and feed a relatives on the wages. Groomers earn cost, so the greater desirable you get and the greater canine you do, the greater money you're making. I made 35,000.00 final year IN oKLAHOMA. stable success!

I am an animal massage therapist. The work is very rewarding, I set my own schedule, and make $55-75 per session depending on the type of animal. A session takes 45-60 minutes.

You can work as a veterinary technician, zoo keeper, pet sitter, dog groomer, pet store, wildlife biologist, wildlife rehab, naturalist, etc. For some of these you would need a degree, either in zoology, biology, animal science, or wildlife studies.
