There is no SINGLE most enduring symbol, it depends what you are focusing on.

For instance:
- Thievery of civil rights (see Patriot Act)
- Catering of big corporations
- Speech flukes (though, these were more funny than really something worthy of criticizm in my opinion)
- Stubborn attitude about "setting up democracy" in Iraq

One of the few things that unifies many of the mistakes of the administration is "ignorance" though that could be said of many administrations. Hindsight is 20/20. I don't dislike Bush that much, he seems like a nice guy.

The most significant symbols cannot be reduced to one, however the Fence is a very important step taken to secure our country. The booming economy, the progress on the war against terror is the most important and the fact that we have gone 5 years without an attack on American soil proves how successful it has been. You should be on your Knees thanking God for the administration.

Truth distortion.

Accepting the presidency under dishonorable methods.

Machiavellian Methods to achieve political goals:
to pursue success by any means, even at the expense of moral values and established international agreements. Hence earning the a well-grounded reputation for cruelty, deception and ruthless tactics thereby raising the distrust and hatred of other countries.

I think it is the fact that our GNP growth is at a higher rate than the increase to our deficit, which is in effect, a net decline in debt.

Thanks for asking!
