I'm looking for the female singer of a cover of "Mony mony"...?

I've heard a cover of Tommy James and the Shondells's song "Mony mony".
It's sung by a woman, she has a voice similar to Cindy Lauper's one and I wonder who she could be....help me!! Thanks
