try to go to chat rooms that have a theme that you are interested in at least you will have a common ground to start talking. Also you can go to blog areas and read some blogs that people have posted to see if they are "normal than others" before you start talking to them.

sadly, no. Everyone who goes to a site like myspace or facebook is either too young to date and is only on it because their friends are, or they are looking for dates because they can't find them in real life, or they are stalkers and predators looking for victims.
