Okay, so maybe a mexican and black president is farfetched..but would people do if the person was mixed with black/white? What then? Racism against a part of their own is rather ignorant, regardless of what any ignorant racist says if you got a color in you it's an official color in you, genes don't lie. So would people STILL be stupid enough to not vote that person in office just because he/she was mixed with black?

OOookayee, sudenly i've been deemed racist here..I SAID this because there is still people out there that would not see someone of any color or WOMAN in OFFICE.... reason asked is cause, i'm wondering if it's OKAY NOW to have women or people who are mixed do it without fear of someone trying to kill em for the sake of racism. I ain't racist dammit i'm just curious about it...you may call me ignorant for thinkin it but honestly it ain't like people DON'T discriminate anymore, let's not be oblivious of this fact, i mean we have some states in fact those 2 white girls that sing about some seriously KKK stuff goin up the charts, now HONESTLY what do you think would happen when you still have people ignorantly bonded to old faiths?

Man, all you libs need to get beyond the color thing. It's like talking to queers. Every two minutes they gotta remind you about being queer. If a politician has the right philosophy, it wouldn't matter what color they are. They could be green or purple, or have green and purple stripes, who the "eff" cares? They just have to have the right message at the right time. Now, and here's the part that libs hate, libs run for office because they're used to having their snout buried deep in the trough. They've never worked for a living. With their hands. Got their hands dirty for a living. Always lived off the public dime. So they think they're entitled. Because "they care". Sure they care, but not about the working man and woman, except to gouge more taxes. So when the black or queer or feminist lib gets rejected at the ballot box they immediately start screaming, "racism!", "homophobia!" "gender-bias!"... No, stupid, you had the wrong message. Color got nothing to do with it. If Lynn Swann or Steele or any black Republican loses this coming election, they won't be hollering racism. They have too much class. It's only silly libs that make a living doing this.

You can't assume that people won't vote for a black or mexican president, or a mixed one. I don't recall a black or mexican running with either of the dominant political parties (the independents hardly ever, if ever at all, get elected). If they don't run, we can't vote for them. Don't assume that we won't just because we haven't yet.

I'm a white male, born and raised in the south (Georgia) that would vote for Colin Powell in a heartbeat! It's not their color, it's their viewpoint that gets my support.

Personally, I vote for those that mirror my own values the most. Black, white, male, female, it doesn't matter. Conservatism matters.

I'd vote for the best person, not the best color. That's what we should do.

I am a mixed person.... German and Irish. Are you so racist you wouldn't vote for me? Are you so racist you don't consider me 'mixed', to use your word?
