it is safe but not as safe. if you are just using a condom i would recommend that you make sure it is lubricated with spermicide. the spermicide kills the sperm in case the condom breaks or slips off or anything else that may happen. i would still however recommend that you use both the pill and a condom the more protection the less likely of getting pregant.

Male condoms are actually a pretty effective method of birth control. If they are used perfectly only two women out of every 100 will become pregnant over the course of a year's use. If you don't use them perfectly (Perfectly meaning you put them on before the penis touches the vulva, lubricate both inside and outside, pinch the tip, smooth out any air bubbles, pull out before he loses his erection) about 15/100 will be pregnant within a year.

This is not as good as the pill, but it's certainly very helpful for many couples.

Yeah, I've never been on the pill,. I've been with my hubby for 10 years, we do have 1 child, that was when we didn't use condoms. If you only use condoms you'll be fine, I've never been on the pill.

condoms are only 98% "safe" me if you dont want to go on the pill i would try using some type of spermicide like vagainal contraceptive foam with the condoms or condoms with spermicide

Hi Alice
Please don't take that chance if you are not ready for a baby yet. Condoms often bust and by them its to late girl. Don't risk it
