It was actually about a RAT called Ben... honestly. However it was adopted at one stage by a programme called Thats Life who promoted the Ben Nolan Appeal at a time when Ben Nolan was still alive. As you probably know, Ben Nolan died and his parents went on to form the Ben Nolan Trust who organise the bone marrow transplants and donations etc. xx

It was about a rat, all the rats were being killed hence Ben the pet was about to croak. Song also used in a Thats Life campaign for organ donation.
